I work in a laboratory and one of my test equiptment is a potassium acetate and water bath so the fluid won't freeze the temperature is about -15 F. I am just wondering if when the test I am doing is finished I can turn the pump off with out draining the fluid out of the pump.

Hello,
Providing none of the fluid left in the pump freezes, there is not any specification on minimum temperature. The manufacturer states a maximum temperature but no minmum.

I am using a industrial adjustable pressure switch to turn on/off this pump. Set up could have supply up to 24 ft head. Discharge is to dead-head when faucet in laboratory is turned off (condensate water for lab use). I am not sure if 15 psi is a good cut-out setpoint, but it represents the total head of 34.6 ft, including the suction head, and pump is capable of adding pressure to suction head of 24 ft. 24+24=48 max possible head on this pump, I suppose. I want pump to turn on when faucet is opened (and line pressure is dumped). Supply tubing at lab is 3/8" stainless tubing, 75-100 ft estimated length. Cut-in is presently set at 10 psi (23 ft. H2O).
