I need to know how to wire this part so the light works along with the plug. I cant seem to figure it out. need help!!! does anyone know of a cite that i can get the picture of the correct way to wire it? can anyone help with any advice?

One side of that combination switch is common to both the outlet and the switch. Your hot wire goes to that terminal. The other side has terminals that are further apart. The terminal by the receptacle will get your neutral, the terminal by the switch will get the wire that goes to the switched load.
