Rated 4 out of 5 by 2reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by The product description is incorrect. The R factor is 4.5.What's in the box is Johns Manville Microlite XG Type 100. It has an installed R factor of only 4.5, not the 6.5 advertised in the product description.I was on the phone with Grainger and the supplier in a three way call and it was confirmed. I thought Grainger would have fixed the description by now. May 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good product easy to work with. Doesn't seem to be regular fiberglass so its not as itchy but still insulates very well May 30, 2013

Answer:
Yes its very easy to cut with a razor knife or even scissors. I installed it around existing 48 inch and 24 inch rectangular duct work with many obstuctions or protrusions.

I have three A/C units on the roof of my house. I need insulation to cover the duct that exits the blower and enters the roof. Is this a good product to use outdoor or should I use another type of insulation that handles the weather better?
