I've used a hunter wall thermostat on my gas logs for years. I need a replacement and can't find the same one. It needs to open and close the on/off switch connection on the gas log valve. Info on this thermostat says it works on 750 millivolts but the gas logs just need a closed circuit. I haven't been able to find how many millvolts the thermocouple puts out activating the gas valve, or if that voltage is sent thru the on/off contacts. All gas logs should work on same principal. The on/off contacts work fine. The logs are standard. The switch positions are 1) Top position ON. 2) Middle is OFF and 3) Bottom position is AUTO connected to thermostat. I am not having any luck locating the correct thermostat. Grangers is my best hope for a solution

Answer:
Typically most gas log thermostats all operate on a 750 Mv system which means that this thermostat will work on gas logs by closing the contacts and energizing the valve.
