Rated 4 out of 5 by 1reviewer.
Rated 4 out of 5 by was looking for something as similar to a ratcliff hoist as possible. this is the best i could find in terms of capacity ,weight and size. every other 1.5 ton hoist is MUCH bigger and heavier. although this does not operate the same as a ratcliff, (this uses a disc brake, a different ratcheting system, and the handle will rotate 360 degrees with continious lifting). it has some benefits, and a couple draw backs, but overall has proven to be a very good choice. i use this on a dialy basis, for my job as a telco lineman. i have had absouletely no issues with this in the last year of use. one more tip i can give you is to NOT just look at the pictures of other hoists here. companies use the same picture for multiple models and does not give you an accurate idea. i found looking at the shipping wieght to be a big help. i ordered about 8 different hoists to see them in person before i decided on this one.
