Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following: This unit turns by following the bend of the pipe, it does not have an articulating probe.

Answer: 
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following: This camera is designed for 2-6” pipes. The camera head is over 1” in diameter, and would not be able to make a turn in a 1 ½” pipe.

Answer: 
This unit can be used with the wider piping however there would be a reduction in its performance. The angel of the camera lens allows you to see out to the edges of a 6 inch pipe. Using it in an 8-12 inch pipe would mean that you may miss 2-6 inches of the pipe. There may also be less light available due to the larger volume of space. Thanks for using Grainger Ask & Answer.
