Rated 4 out of 5 by power plant of a generator. This is a great generator for our entire house. No shortage of power and seems to be built solid. I really like the fact that it came with a battery charger to ensure its always ready to go. It's a little loud but not outrageous. Great generator dollar for dollar. We are ready for another ice storm with this Generac. December 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ease of setup and operation After delivery, the Generac 7000 was easy to prepare for operation, easy to start ( electric start). Our house has transfer switches ( 6) and with our electrician we tested the system and the 7000 to make sure all was running in order. Everything was perfect the first time. I recommend having an electrician go over everything, especially with the built-in transfer switches. The peace of mind living here in Maine, that we can have heat, refrigeration, lights and some comforts is reassuring, especially if the power goes out. This will probably lead to the purchase and installation of a stand-by unit down the road. Thanks for building a safe, easy-to-operate, sensible power source in case of outages which can happen especially here in Maine. I like my comfort and this is real, real PEACE OF MIND. Rated 5 out of 5 by Second purchase. Upgraded to this 7500 Upgraded to this 7500. Had a Generac in the past and it worked great. I didn't even consider another brand. December 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Genset This particular model has enough available power to run an average 3 bed room house including the furnace and refrigerator. To ensure a no overload condition have refrigerator turned off until furnace or ac kicks in then turn on.Easy to maintain and easy starting. December 1, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Yes....purchase this one We bought our first Generac 7000kw in 2004 it has ran our 55' trailer in the middle of the bush for 7yrs. then built our OFF GRID home powering all our power tools needed for the build, then for the last 3 yrs used as a back up to our Off grid solar system. Still going strong only serviced once to clean it up with a tune up.Purchased New one GP7500E to carry us forward for another 10 yrs and use the older one as our back up.Quiet, easy to use, I will always buy a Generac. Answer:
There are two ways to use this generator. One is to roll it out, start it up and plug in standard wall plugs into it to operate 120VAC devices. The other way is to purchase additional accessories such as a transfer switch, power inlet box and a cord to bring power to the transfer switch from the generator, The second way is a more permanent way and safer than the first method. Call Grainger's Technical Support Team for more on your installation options.

Answer:
In order to run on natural gas, you would have to install a conversion kit in your generator. Please call us at 800-323-0620 so we can discuss this in greater detail.
