Answers

Answer:
Lifting capacity is based on the length of the fork tine. Using fork extensions reduces lifting capacity by approximately 175 lbs. per inch of extension. OSHA requires that you contact your lift truck manufacture before purchasing for written approval for the use of any fork truck attachments along with a schedule of derated capacity and guidelines for safe usage.

Answer:
The extensions cannot exceed more than 1.5X length of the existing fork in inches. For example if a 64 inch fork can use a 96 inch extension. If you have additional questions please call 1-800-Grainger. Thank you for using Grainger.com Ask & Answer.
