Rated 5 out of 5 by I think Fluke has hit another home run with the CNX3000 The CNX 3000 HVAC unit quality and agronomical design is second to none, the system is very user friendly, the user manual is very well written and easy to understand.I find that the CNX 3000 remotely takes readings very quickly but I did find that the range was somewhat limited to about 20 feet when I was near thick cement walls or metal I-beam structures. It’s great to have the ability to connect my devices to a computer; the software is easy to use and runs very well. I had no problems running on a Windows (7) platform but I was curious if it the software was also compatible with the new Windows (8) platform. A great software feature is having the ability to perform trending which can also help diagnose many customers’ complaints. The CNX 3000 does offer increased on the job safety and is great for trying to comply with the NFPA 70E standards. The remote feature is a great teaching tool in the class room and the lab, when teaching my students about the NFPA70E standards. I physically demonstrate to all my students, the hands off approach and being able to keep panels closed when taking readings above 50 volts. It also helps to comply with the NFPA 70e distance standards and also alleviates the hassle of having to write readings down. The modules are small enough to place into most electrical HVAC panels and has done exceptionally well in the outdoor elements; it’s actually like having another set of hands. In conclusion I think Fluke has hit another home run with the CNX3000 and I will recommend it in my students in the classroom, lab and also during my on the road HVAC seminars. Thanks Fluke, for making my job as an HVAC instructor easier, more interactive with my students and safer for all future techs in the HVAC field. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best test unit I own Before the CNX 3000 I would have never been able to get the readings safely from my package units due to there locations which is around 15 feet in the air inside a drop ceiling with duct work around them. Now I can do so by simply connecting the modules climb down off the ladder and getting the reading safely without running the unit while I am in the air. July 11, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by CNX System VERSATILE..is the one word that comes to mind when I think of the FLUKE CNX system (HVAC package). Along with the standard multi meter, current clamp and temperature meter, the CNX system's ability to remotely monitor live readings and log events for later review makes this system invaluable to technicians who troubleshoot, start-up and commision HVAC equipment. As a commisoning / start-up technician for a large mechanical contractor I routinely have to set up and test HVAC equipment requiring me to constantly jump from one location to another or even use another tech to relay information. The CNX system helps tremedously. Think of all the times due to the location of equipment or just the fact the the various parts of the equipment are in differant locations, how usefully a remote temperature reading, amp draw or voltage reading woud help! The only improvments I would like to see would be a remote voltage meter that could read Volts DC, as I understand the v3000 AC volt module can only read Volts AC. With more and more HVAC controls using analog outputs/inputs with 0-10 vdc or even 4-20 milliamps, a module that could read this information would be very helpful. A remote pressure meter for either or both hydrondic and air woud also be a great addition to the CNX system as well. All in all I would recommend the CNX system to anyone in the HVAC trade and to any tech who is involved in commsion / start-up I would consider it a necessity! July 10, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by CNXX Review The following is my review of the CNX system. This review follows two weeks of use in a high speed packaging environment. I found that the CNX system is quite easy to set up and connect right out of the box with minimal use of the manual. The wireless connections seem to be very stable and also meet the distance spec for line of sight communications. This system is a step up from the Bluetooth 381 and 233 which have trouble communicating through walls or panel doors. The CNX is well suited for packaging environments where ac motors are used for conveyor control. We have thousands of motors and drives in our packaging area and with the NFPA 70E standard the ability to monitor devices with the panel doors closed is a must because of the tight spaces around panels with operator traffic. One feature that I find very useful is the ability to connect to the devices with my laptop. The computer software is clean and simple and it functions very well. Overall the CNX system seems simple, reliable, and of great quality as all of my other fluke test equipment. There are two things that I would like to see with this system. The first is a low pass filter on the wireless multimeter. In todays industry a low pass filter is a must. The second is the ability to trend multiple devices on the same graph using the software. Trending multiple devices together would be nice for motors where all three phases could be compared on one graph.Overall I am very pleased and will definitely be adding more devices to my system. I would like to thank Fluke for the opportunity to evaluate this system and will definitely post new pros and cons as I come across them.last Monday June 22, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by A much needed tool for proper diagnosics. Fluke has hit another home run! This product line makes proper diagnostics easy and reliable. With the ability to create custom timelines on trending, you are able to gather the needed data to correctly identify any issues. The modules are compact enough to fit in most electrical compartments of HVAC gear and will withstand the outdoor environment. This is like having a tech "on site" to watch for intermittant issues that are causing problems for the customer and their equipment. What is that worth? April 1, 2013
