    Answer:
    Hello,
Unfortunatly you cannot use the 5FZU5 for 50% caustic soda, The "FKM" material will react with the chemical. You will need a pump that is compatible, like a 3DYK1 You need to avoid Viton, & FKM, Brass, Aluminum...

I hope this answers your question, thanks for using Grainger Ask & Answer!

    Answer:
This pump is not compatible with MEK. For MEK you may wish to look at item 3DYK1. To make sure it is compatible with alcohol, please contact us at 1-800-GRAINGER and let us know which alcohol you are using. You may also wish to use a grounding clamp if you are in a fume environment, such as item 13M347.

    Answer:
This drum pump is rated for max viscosity 300 CPS which is 300 centipoise. Latex house paint is about 1500 CPS so the fluid would be too heavy for the pump to lift.

    Answer:
The 5FZU5 drum pump is not rated for DEF. Take a look at Grainger item number 5FZT9 which is designed for transferring diesel exhaust fluid (urea-based).

    Answer:
Finnish Thompson cannot confirm if the product would affect the pump or not. SEQUST-ALL EMC WSF-36 which looks to a blended Phosphate/Polyphosphate with specific gravity of 1.29 but the formula is proprietary and they do not have it on a chemical compatibility chart.
