Rated 2.7 out of 5 by 3reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Ordered two of these units and both would not shut off once full. Units had a poor design of the float shut off but that had nothing to do with the problems we had. Unit would most likely be ok if you used the hose to take the water to drain. February 19, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Only had little over a month. The test of time will tell if its worth the high cost July 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best cheap dehumidifier Fantech is great. They deliver some of the best dehumidifiers globally. This particular dehumidifier removes 50-100% more water from the air than a consumer unit. I am a carpet cleaner. If I have to clean carpet in a basement, it will get moldy before it dries unless the humidity is under 60% and the temperature is over 75. A home unit just can't do that. This one can. Even if it is moist, like 90% humidity when I start. Even if it is a big area, like 500 sf. Likewise, if I am cleaning up a flood. An insurance adjuster is going to check on the work. If he see's home units on the job, they better not belong to the contractor or that will be the last job you ever do for him. This is the minimum they look for. I have two of these. They never caused me any trouble. June 9, 2012

We would need more information regarding the space. Is the space residential or commercial, is it conditioned, what is the average temperature and humidity? I would recommend calling our HVAC tech team at 800-472-4643.

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

This unit cannot be mounted in a cabinet. The unit is designed to be in open space so that it can draw in damp air and release dry air. Blocking the air flow can/will cause damage to the fan and compressor.
