Rated 5 out of 5 by great saw... Has plenty of extra power for all your cutting needs February 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Kick Butt Machine!! I own my own tree service in S.A. TX. This machine has performed amazingly every time. Please don't forget to keep echo bar and chain oil filled at all times! Also you need to lubricate the bar at all times. I think everyone should own this chainsaw! Especially when the zombie apocalypse arrives!! Jk. Get yourself a CS-590 Timberwolf. You'll agree you made a great decision. February 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by best bang for the buck. Im a professional landscaper and purchased this as a back up saw. After using it to mow down a large oak it became my primary saw. Always starts on the first pull. February 18, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by over-all my expereance with this particular model Echo products are god sent I have never had trouble... except when I purchased the CS 590. It is hard to start ( it takes about 20 pulls when its cold). I have yet to locate the screw that regulates chain lubricant (I ruined one chain) and about 8-10 cuts I must stop and tighten the chain. I know how to tighten a chain- I know it should crank after about 5-6 pulls. But the book says to adjust a screw to increase or decrease oil.Even it is one out of a million; I have it.I cannot honestly recommend purchasing a CS590 unless you are a mechanic and have nothing to do. Rated 5 out of 5 Easy to start, Good power, Easy to maintain. I bought this saw about a year ago. Since then it's cut close to 15 cords worth of wood with no problem. Recently my brother bought a MS311 which is Stihls farm saw and the Echo has beat it every single time the Stihl is harder to start and though it does cut good the Echo has a much smoother band of power allowing it to cut through with less work making what would normally be a 2 hour job might take an hour with the Echo with the stock chain I cut through a 42 inch dead oak twice as fast as the stihl side by side it makes it just too easy so if you're looking for a saw that out performs all others get an Echo CS-590 February 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 Undeniable value! I use this as my mid-size saw...which is to say that I use it for just about everything except the small limbs or the largest of hardwoods that I cut (I have an old Echo CS-750evl and a new CS 800P for those). Therefore, as I have the 20" bar that came with it, anything a 20 inch bar can do, this saw will do it and do it extremely fast.I am so impressed with 590 Timberwolf that I daresay if I had only to pick one saw for all my professional firewood cutting, it would be this saw. It is just that good.I looked at other brands of chainsaws (and have owned all the major brands) but when I consider replacement, I weigh the cost of the saw by how many cords of firewood I will have to cut to pay for it...that method right there keeps me from digging too deep to pay for a Husqvarna or Stihl lol And why should I when I can get as good a saw for hundreds less?BTW, one thing I did do was buy the felling spike (the one for the 600P) and put on this saw.
