Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Tool Well balance and strong. I did not find any weakness or short fall for the price of this tool. This is my second Dremel tool. November 21, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Works at the moment, but for how long? First one I bought, took it home and it was dead out of the box. I exchanged it for a another one, and within 2 weeks it stopped working in the middle of a project. I have only used it a few times before it died. Again I exchanged it for another one. Will see how long this one will last. November 9, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dremel 4200 was HORRIBLE! Stopped working! I purchased the Dremel 4200 in late August. Forget that everything seemed to be just crammed into the case (maybe it was bought and returned). I only use the tool a few minutes at a time for a very light weight wood cutting project. The problem is that the tool was used for perhaps a total of 1 1/2 hours and just stopped working! NOTHING should stop working that soon. Fortunately, the store where I purchased it at agreed to replace it (even though it is now November). I have owned Dremel previously and was satisfied with the purchase. So I do have to mention that...the previous was light weight and battery powered. However, after this experience I am highly unlikely to purchase another Dremel tool. I would not recommend Dremel to anyone after this experience. November 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good overall tool-problem with loosening tool hold I used this tool to rework a jaw clutch casting that had been damaged by wear. Worked well and got the job done. I did have to reinsert the tool into the quick-relaease chuck several times as it would "walk" out. November 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Great..when working On my second of these since April, first had a minor issue with the threads that hold accessories on stripping, but worked well. Second froze up after brushes were seated, and overall they've failed about every other use. Totally froze up today, brushes were fused to their brackets after cutting a couple of thin screws. Great function and operation when it works, but if ordering new brushes doesn't solve the problem I'll be finding an alternative to dremels rotary tools October 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not too big, easy to handle I like the variable speed and the easy chuck to switch accessories. September 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Did't last Received new 4200 yesterday, ran at no load for 5 min. to brake in brushes.Today I started a project (not heavy), and after about minutes of intermittent use it just stopped. Brushes were good, but it just quit! Not impressed, for the price you should get more than 5 minutes of use. September 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Dremel I've had My 4200 Rotary worked fine for a few months then the E-Z chuck system stopped clasping the shafts on the wheels, brushes and other attachments. It's useless at this point and I'll get another manual chuck and key system like those of old and keep using them. August 27, 2014
