Rated 2 out of 5 by BROKEN IN THE MIDDLE OF A JOB!! Bought this about a year ago (2nd one, first broke). Was in the middle of a job and the motor just quit. Just a paper weight now. April 15, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Short life span I bought this less then three months ago. Used it to sand down a wooden car with my daughter, and then it stopped working. Never got to use very many of the bits that came with it (and the reason why i purchased it). Extremely disappointed as my father has one that he has owned for years, and it is still working away. Rated 2 out of 5 by Having issues again. I received a Dremel 4200 as a gift, so I could start using it for crafting. I loved everything about the tool; however, I haven't been able to use it but a few times, as it has just stopped working. I would love to use it again to create my crafts. I would not recommend this product to a friend right now. April 2, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by sorriest Dremel tool ever owened bought this tool for a project i was working on (a Hope Chest ) for my grand daughter. had to cut 2 groves out for the locks on the lid it would not hold the bit .Bit kept coming out thank god bit was in grove or no telling how bad i woulda been hurt with bit flying out . Returning today want ever buy another one.Sure was looking forward too an easy bit change . Last 2 i owned the chuck striped out and caint get bits out of them had too throw away. Always thought Dremel was a better tool than that .Lesson learned the hard way. March 31, 2016

Rated 1 out of 5 by does not work properly Have had in for repair 6 months after purchase for this same current problem. Will work great several times then will just not work at all very frustrating. Believe is still under warranty but I don't want a repair want a new one not this lemon March 29, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by I went through THREE of these in a month First one worked for a day, then the next day wouldn't start. I exchanged it at the store I had purchased it at, then when I got the new one home it ran for less than 5 minutes before it had the same exact problem. I really wanted to just get my money back and buy a different product, but so many people swear by their Dremels I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I thought maybe this was my fault if it happened twice in a row and read some suggestions online that recommended running the tool unloaded at full speed for 10 minutes to seat the motor brushes before use. I did that to my third tool and it managed to finish the project I was working on, so I thought that must have been the problem. After that it went in the drawer for 2 weeks before another need arose. I turned it on to check it, it was running fine, put a bit in, put on my gloves and safety glasses to cut a small piece of metal, and then of course it wouldn't turn on. I will be returning it as soon as I can for a refund and I will never be purchasing another Dremel product. March 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by I especially like the Quick Change option I purchased this tool for repairing a Stained Glass Project I was working on. I had assembled the Picture together and while cementing the panels together, one of the glass panels broke. The Dremel 4200 was the only tool that got the Job done, quickly. March 24, 2016
