Rated 1 out of 5 by Buggy Too bad I ready the reviews after it stopped working5 minutes into my first job. Reading other reviews of this (4200) and other product(4000) it is evident that this model has a defect in design/workmanship/quality. I don't typically return goods but this one had to go. Hope the 4000 is better. September 22, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by decent Pretty decent, questions about interchanability with other parts in the future, but Drexel and off-brand, but it seems like it'll be okay September 16, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by HOUSING CAP WONT COME OFF & EZ CHANGE LEVER BROKE i have had this 4200 for less then 2 months with only using it 3 times and now the housing cap wont come off and the ez chanfge lever broke on one side. now trying to change bits is almost impossible to do so. I wish i could find parts to this 4200. September 14, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by I can't believe this is a Dremel I purchased the 4200 on August 23rd of 2015. I've used it for approximately 1.5 hours. I was working on a project using the sanding discs. I stopped for a moment, but then the tool would not come back on. When it did power up again, there was a half-second delay after turning it on. The same thing happened a couple of days later. I removed the brushes to make sure they were seated correctly. There was no problem there. Now my Dremel won't turn on at all! There seems to be some resistance when sliding the power switch off and on. I've only had this tool for 10 days. I spent my money on a Dremel because it's common knowledge that Dremel makes the best rotary tools. I'm quite dissapointed. Also, I'm almost done with a project that I started, and I won't be able to finish it until this issue is resolved. September 1, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Should of kept the 400 XPR with 2.0 amp motor Got the 4200 29 days ago used it for like 40 min now it vibrates and rattles really expected a little more. August 30, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stopped working after less than a year Second 4200, first stopped working after 1 week. Second one used maybe 5 times. Packed away for a couple of months, went to use again and it would not turn on. Debugged and the switch is bad. Doesn't see to be a replacement part available.I thought Dremel was supposed to be the best, guess not. Would not buy again and would not recommend. August 14, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Motor weak Bought this product 8 months used for 1st time 3 days ago. Used it to clean rust off small tools with a wire brush. I only used it for a couple minuets at a time, total time appx. 20 minuets. Motor quit. I had a smaller Dremel before this and it lasted several years. I bought this larger one thinking the motor would be stronger and last many years. August 5, 2015
