Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent tool for specific applications Bought the Saw Max SM-20 specifically for a laminate flooring job in my home. Excellent for plunge and fussy cuts. I preferred my cabinet saw (table saw) for dimension (cross and rip) cuts of planks, but the SM-20 would do those as well, just less precise and slower. The dust collection adapter should be packed with the saw. My local stores did not carry it. I also bought a flush cut blade and found that to be superb for casing cuts. June 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use Bought this tool to work on miniatures. It was the first time I have used a power saw, and found it easy to handle and learn how to use. The cuts it makes are super, and leaves me with very little sanding. April 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great cutting tool for straight smooth cuts I replaced a window in my home and the siding was very difficult to cut out for trimming the window. After a number of failed attempts with other tools, I broke down an purchased the Dremel SM20-03. This cut easily through the siding, with minimal effort to guide and hold the tool. Other tools, such as the jigsaw, couldn't because of the materials not being help firm. The Dremel, like a circular saw, held the work and required little effort to guide and get the results I needed. My only suggestion is to purchase the optional attachment to use a vacuum, as the saw is actually an abrasive blade and generates a lot of siding dust. It is a very well designed tool and with the worm drive, you don't have the torque problem that other tools have. February 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Saw Max Rocks ! Saw was very easy to use. I was able to hold and guide it with one hand. Both the guide pointer at the top of the unit and the position of the blade made it simple to follow my guide line on the wood. The saw is so much lighter than a circular saw it makes it easier to use. February 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cutting Up This made a formerly difficult task (cutting up an old gas range for recycling and disposal) quick and easy. However, the metal cutting wheels wear out too fast and break too easily, even when cutting sheet metal. Haven't tried the other types of wheels yet, but plan to. February 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by ease of use My wife got this tool for me as a gift, I let her use it first, she loved it, says it was the best money she ever spent on a tool, now she's looking at the attachments for it. December 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tool Very nice tool, quick and easy to use. Like the depth gauge makes adjustments easy. Good control with the longer handle so pointing and keeping the tool straight easier. Important on smaller tools like this because the cuts are small and precise, and waves will show as fine as the saw cuts. I like the ability to lock it on so you don't have to hold it on, and allows you to concentrate on the cut.Only down side: Would like a carrying case like other Dremel products that can hold extra saw blades and accessories. But that is not on the tool or performance of the tool it is good. December 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very versatile I bought the Saw-Max a few weeks ago to help me remodel my granddaughters room and build her new furniture. I am here to tell you that this tool helped me complete the task in record time and the precise cuts I was able to make allowed me to make furniture a cut above the quality I usually get with my big clumsy hand tools. I have been using Dremel products for 25+ years and always expect the best, but with the Saw-Max best just got better ! Thanks, I love it ! December 13, 2013
