Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 23reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Bang for the Buck! I purchased this saw to use on my job in general handyman type work but primarily for cutting holes in 5/8" Sheetrock. and making cuts in baseboard, door trim etc. I frequently need to cut out an inspection hole in ceilings for maintenance personnel to check the plumbing when a leak occurs. Hand sawing fire rock (5/8") with several coats of paint and texturing on it is not easy but this Saw Max saw really is a work saver.I've tried other saws but they were too hard to maneuver and made too much mess. The smaller blade on this one makes less mess but really cuts quickly and efficiently and is easy to maneuver with the convenient finger squeeze trigger and easily operated trigger lock release. This is actually my first ever Dremel tool and I'm really impressed with it's power and ease of operation. I think it really meets up to the Dremel reputation for quality and versatility. I plan to purchase the accessory that is used for making accurate miter cuts in trim wood and also the flush cutting wheel. Very inexpensive additions that give the saw even more versatility. I'm certainly happy with my Saw Max saw and feel it will serve me for many years. March 14, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Handy Tool I haven't got time for an extensive use yet, just a few trial passes. It looks good so far. For that price, they could include vacuum port and handle. February 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Metal and masonry no problem My wife bought it fo I got it for Father's Day and it's been very useful however the fact that it has no blade cover like my worm gear tends to make my wife a little nervous which I guess is a good thing D July 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great saw! This saw worked well for metal cutoff. It's small enough to handle with one hand and cuts quickly. July 7, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good Tool with Bad Blade Using the tool last 6 months. The tool is easy to use. But the life of the Blade is poor. June 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love this tool.. I have only cut about 4 sheets of 5/8 osb with this saw, but so far this thing is great. It will totally replace my circular saw accept for really heavy duty jobs. You can handle it with one hand and there is no kick back at all. It has plenty of power and you can see your cutting line easily. I can't say anything about reliability yet, but it seems like a verywell built tool. April 10, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by SM20-03 I bought the SM-20 to do some finesse tile trimming in a bathroom renovation. I felt the tool worked extremely well. It was easy to hold, light in my hand and allowed for the control needed for a very fine straight cut. The only thing I felt could be improved was the direction of air flow. As it is currently configured the flow of air blows directly toward my face and eyes. Even with eye protection, I'd prefer the flow move under the tool toward the rear of the tool. In fairness to Dremel, they do have a slot for an attachment that would allow a shop vac to pull away residual dust; however, that was not available locally without going online to purchase it. I would have made the purchase if it was available as I am very keen on keeping my eyes, ears, and throat protected from the hazards associated with cutting. April 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to Use This is a great saw for quick projects or large projects where a large power saw is not appropriate. Easy to use and handle. Great design. March 2, 2015
