starting up this fall I have had to replace it every week. Very costly and manufacture is no help. An aqustat operates it. When it calls for heat I have 122 volts at solenoid. Each one that I have replaced has shown an open coil with an ohm meter. What should I be looking at as a cause or a different solenoid?

1 Person needs an answerI have this question too

Grainger has contacted the product supplier and have been advised by them of the following: Dormeyer has indicated that the 2005-M-1's may fail when used with wood burning outdoor furnances because this solenoid has a Low Temperature coil (Class "A" coil rated 105C/221F maximum temperature). Use of the Grainger item 4X240 in a high temperature application is not in accordance with it's specifcations.

According to Dormeyer/Ledex, the solution for your outdoor wood boiler application would be for you to use a Dormeyer model #2005-F-34 that has a High Temperature coil (Class "F" 155C/311F maximum temperature).

Because Grainger does not currently carry (as a stocked item) Dormeyer model #2005-F-34, please contact your local Grainger Branch or call us at 800-323-0620 to explore Special Order options.
