Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Had the fan installed about 2 weeks ago, and everything is working just as planned. There was a bit of installation work involved, as the house heat- a/c return duct had to be relocated. On high, the noise is not particularly loud, and on low it is relatively quiet. It does have higher noise than the house a/c, but the noise level is not a deal killer with the wife. The unit comes with a wooden box for the unit to sit on. However, the unit does not fit flush with the box, because of some weld points on the unit. The unit was mounted on the box with screws, and the small air gaps were sealed off with tape. The unit comes with a speed selector switch, and a timer/switch, which are mounted near our heat/ a/c thermostat. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent fan This fan is worth the money. It is very well built and does a great job pulling the cool air into the house on the cool summer nights. This is very well built, all the joints are welded instead of bolted like on lower quality fans. July 2, 2012

Is it possible to mount this vertically?

I have the variable roof, and rather than cutting into the roof to install in the attic, would like to mount a fan in a short vertical wall.
