I have one of the motors, it runs great BUT I need to find one that has a more powerful torque, you can stop this by just putting your finger on the motor shaft, there isnt a spec in the discription that tells how much torque this motor has can anyone help suggest one with maybe double the power but maintain the size? Thanks for any help

Hi! Is there a good speed controller for this motor that controls the speed from Off->Low->High?

I saw that "JoshS" recommended item # 1DGV3, but it seems like when you first turn the dial that it will start the motor at "High" speed.

Please let me know if this is not the case for # 1DGV3 or if there is another option for this motor!

On a similar note, do you see any problem with "unplugging" the motor, turning the dial to Low, and then "plugging" the motor back in so that it starts on Low?

Thanks for your help!

Answers

Answer:
The maximum speed after the On click is common on this type of motor controller to avoid over heating when a load is present during the power up mode. If that is not the case with your application, you may consider putting another switch in series in between the controller and the motor. Then you can position the speed position first, then flip the added switch for actual motor start.

That item does not come up in our system. I suggest that you give our Technical Motors Team a call and let us find an updated control and chuck that would work in your application.
