Assembly instructions indicate wheel should be installed a minimum 1/4" from the cone of the housing. Does this provide the best performance for the fan as opposed to centering the wheel in the housing? Fan product number is 7C453.

Answer:
This is what the supplier says about that. Having the wheel more than 1/4" from the cone can create air gaps or air loss.

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

This ventilator does not offer a spark resistant housing and is not compatible with an explosion proof motor or application. I recommend calling our HVAC tech team at 800-472-4643 to discuss the options of explosion proof units we do offer.
