Rated 3 out of 5 by Bought this pump 02/14/11. The float switch would not work properly, if at all. Pump was replaced under warranty, 08/29/11, same model. This one ran a few times, then I had the same problem as the previous reviewer. The float switch should activate the pump at 10.34" of head. However, the switch does not activate until approximately 14" of head. By this time water is flowing out of the top of the sump well. This pump is too costly to dispose of at this point, and parts are just adding to the cost. April 5, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by I loved this pump when I got it. Since then, I found the pressure float switch needs over 14 inches of water to run. Further, parts are not available to repair this pump. I have one that needs a new seal and cannot get it. I asked Grainger if it was continuous run, and they told me no, yet in the description it states that it is continuous run. I wouldn't buy another one ever again. October 26, 2012
