Answer: 
Dayton high temperature (400F max) steam solenoid valves are UL-listed and CSA-approved for use with steam and are not rated for air. The valves are 2 way pilot-operated steam valves operating from a minimum 5 psi to 150 psi maximum operating pressure differential (MOPD). (Pilot operated valves will fail to open if the 5 psi minimum is not met.)
