Rated 4 out of 5 by ONE OF THESE DIED EARLYWe've bought several as RF transmitter blower replacements. Long lasting, except for one...Despite the ball-bearings, one failed after a year and half, still working but making extremely loud grinding noise. The shaft was slipping on the rear ball bearing race, and had chewed a significant notch in the shaft surface (created caked black powder gunk.) The shaft was spinning but the ball bearing was not, creating extreme wear and bearing chatter noise. The ball bearing race was not stuck, instead the shaft was undersize, and spinning wo/touching the ball bearing race. This is the only blower that fits in our enclosure. On new replacements I remove the back bearing cover, remove the ball bearing race, and put a very tiny dab of RTV silicone caulk on the shaft surface. This should stop any wiggling/sliding of the shaft.Root cause probably is: shaft is undersize by 0.001" or less, so any slight imbalance of blower blades causes large vibration and slipping, slowly destroying the shaft.
