I am replacing my round capacitor with an oval capacitor with 3 connectors to the oval one shown above. How do I connect the wiring now? There are no markings on the oval capacitor.

Answers

Answer:
If the round capacitor has (2) sets of terminals like the oval 2MDV4 has, it does not matter, there is no polarity to an A.C. capacitor. On the other hand, if your original capacitor has (3) sets of terminals, that would mean that it is an dual rated capacitor. That would mean that this capacitor is not correct for you. If you are replacing the condenser fan motor and it requires this capacitor, I would advise you to call our Technical Products Support Motors Team and we can advise you on how to add this capacitor and motor to your A.C. circuit.
