Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

This thermostat is SPDT. It can be used for heating or cooling, not both.

I believe this to be a passive (non-powered) device. Consequently using at 24 volts should not be an issue.

Is there a wiring diagram or manual for this device?

When the Dayton thermostat is set to start at a specific temperature (eg. 70oF), when does it turns off?
I did notice that the differential temperature is 3-12oF.
I'm looking for a thermostat that operates a fan within 3-4oF.
If this one does not work, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks

Answer:
Hello. If you are using this in a heat only application then I would use a Grainger 4E636. That item has a +/- 3 degree differential. So if you set it at 70 it would shut off/on at 67 or 73 degrees respectively. The 4LZ94 which you inquired about can have the differential adjusted. So if you want a 3 degree differential you can sent it to have only a 3 degree differential.
