Opening size

What is the distance between the top of the switch and the guard? We have to wear steel toe shoes and some switches don't have enough room. Thank you.

The manufacturer does not specify that particular measurement unfortunately. The overall height of the unit including the guard is 5.51".

According to the manufacturer, this footswitch is SPDT; so it can be wired to either a normally open or normally closed contact.
