230 volt motors can not operate at 208 volts unless indicated in the catalog.

Answer: 
There are several things that can cause this to happen. This is a dual voltage motor so the connections that have been made should be compared to the nameplate wiring data. There are several other things that can cause this problem. It is advised that you call our Technical Products Support Team so we can help you trouble shoot this problem.

This is for a dumb waiter and the old motor had 4 wires coming from it the new motor only has 2 connectors for wires coming in . How would I go about wiring the new motor up?
