Am trying to control level of R/O water in a 25 gallon tank; to keep full or within the operating range of the float. Have used item like your 3BY74; but it is not reliable. Have voltage leaking across the switch and the tank overflows.

Any suggestions?

Answer:
Hello,
This switch will turn off the pump when it is down, the pump will turn on when it is up. If you need a float switch that Turn on when Down and Off when UP you need a Normally Closed Float switch, a typical Sump Pump Float Switch is Normally Open..

I hope this answers your question, thanks for using Grainger Ask & Answer!
