Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought this shutter to replace 30 year old shutter. This is a well built product and works great. Removed the return spring since shutters fall back to the closed position when fan is turned off. October 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very clean looking product. Have to be careful when installing so you dont bend the flaps or they will not close correctly. The spring tension is alittle tricky to set . All in all Im happy and it works great. I would reccommend this shutter. May 20, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Just bought this shutter on 8/28/12 for an existing whole house fan.First the shutter's gasket material on the edge of each louver was not trimmed properly from the factory. Second, once installed the "adjustment" spring that is included does not permit a few of the louvers to close properly. The spring keeps tension on the rail that connects all the louvers. Poor design. i would not recommend that anyone buy this shutter. Between the louvers not closing completely and the gasket pieces exposed, it is an eyesore to look. I was better off with the piece of sheet rock I had over the fan's opening and just to not use the fan. August 31, 2012

1 Person needs an answerI have this question too

This shutter has an overall dimension of 38x38, which means in your application you would have to install a piece of wood to be able to properly secure the shutter to the ceiling.
