please send the fan curve for this fan like you have done for other customer questions. Maybe post the fan curve on the website instead of making everyone ask for it?

Vent fumes outside

I'm looking for a fan that I can use to pull fumes and vent them outside. I will occasionally be applying solvent-based contact cement to leather and I have no windows I can open. My plan is to attach the hose to a small table reserved for glueing. Can this fan be safely used with glue fumes, and is it the appropriate size for one person applying glue to two pieces of leather the size of a cowboy boot sole?

Answer:
The 3AA20 would be appropriatly sized for what you are doing. Although if the glue fumes are flammable, you cannot use this product because it does not carry a hazardous location rating. If they are flammable, please call 1-800-GRAINGER and ask for HVAC tech support. We can show you some other prodcuts that will be suitable for a hazardous application.

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

This exhauster uses a capacitor run totally enclosed fan cooled motor. This motor is not speed controllable. If you use the three phase model (2AA23) you can use a variable frequency drive.
