Details

The Dayton Heavy-Duty Electric Heater is designed for continuous or intermittent use in factories, warehouses, public buildings, stock rooms, service stations, any large or exposed areas, or additions. Each heater can be installed for use in downflow or horizontal applications. Its features include an aluminum finned, copper clad steel sheath heating element, and an advanced inlet louver design to draw cool air across the heating element for a more efficient operation.

Most likely the reason it is not coming on is becuase there is not thermostat. It must be purchased separately. It is Grainger part number 2YU33.

Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

The 3UF87 is not convertible from three to single phase. This heater is only engineered for 480 volts three phase only.
