Rated 1 out of 5 by Purchased four of these units. Three of the units stopped workingwithin several weeks of purchase. The remaining one cycles but the humidity settings are far from accurate. Grainger took the three back without question. I will not purchase another Dayton product. February 1, 2013

Answers

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

the manufacturer does not offer a sound rating. This unit can cover up to an estimated 3000 square feet depending on humidity level, configuration and temperature of the space. The Dayton units are not energystar rated. For assistance with sizing you may want to call our HVAC teach team at 800-472-4643.

Answers

Answer:
We have contacted the manufacturer of the unit and they do not have an "E-5" code on file anywhere in their programming for the unit. Their recommendation was to replace the unit either under warranty if it was purchased within the past year from Grainger, or scrapping it totally if it is out of warranty.

Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following. This item would be considered too loud for a residential basement. Please consider using a residential rated unit. Thank you for using Grainger Ask and Answer.
