Rated 5 out of 5 by This product works great. Needed a bigger exhaust fan for our office unisex restroom that had more cfm's. Found this exhaust fan and thought we would try it out. Had to make the area for the fan a little bigger due to it being a bigger fan, but after getting it in and hooked up it works great. March 22, 2012

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

This fan is rated at 4.2 sones which is equal to 48 decibels. There are other factors that can increase sound level such as long exhayst duct runs, insufficient make-up air, and room size. I would recommend calling the HVAC tech team to discuss the application and possible resolutions.
