When you state the vise is to large for the drill press are you referring that the slots on the table do not match exactly to the slots on vise.
There are 4 slots on the vise and 4 slots on the table. The slots on the table do not have to match exactly with the slots on the vise. You only need to secure the vise at 2 points (or 2 bolts). One bolt will keep the vise from rotating and the second bolt will secure the vise to the table.
