I bought this unit as a replacement for Masterflow thermostat that I currently own. It came to me as a surprise that it has a label attached to it saying that it can be only used with Dayton fan. What could be the reason? Can it somehow cause damage to the fan or thermostat if it is used differently? Thank you.

Answer:
Without more information from yor existing fan I cannot make a recommendation for the thermostat. I would recommend you call our HVAC tech team with specs from the fan to make sure the electrical specs and application are appropriate. 800-472-4643

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the manufacturer and the contacts on this unit will not close when the temperature is below 60, so the unit will not operate at that temperature.
