Rated 3 out of 5 by 1reviewer.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Grade A - For quality of buildGrade D - For air movementThe fan was purchased for circulating air near equipment operators in a non air conditioned production facility. The blades do not have enough pitch to move large amounts of air.The fan would work well at close ranges but over a 5-6ft distance, air movement can hardly be felt."Quality built product that needs harder pitched blades!" Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following.

This multi-speed motor is not speed controllable. Using a solid state speed control can cause the motor to short out.

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following. There are a few things that could cause a motor to shut off including low voltage, high ambient temperature, or a failing motor. Checking the capacitor is a good idea as well as this can cause problems for the motor too. Thank you for using Grainger Ask and Answer.
