Both of the gearmotors will have the same specifications and are compatible with each other in form, fit, and function. The B and C suffixes denotes a revision change for detail/s in manufacturing.

Answer: 
The capacitor does not have to be discharged before unwiring. As a safety precaution, larger capacitors should be discharged after being disconnected to prevent electrical shock. This should be done after the capacitor is removed from the motor to avoid damage to the system. Thanks for using Grainger Ask & Answer.

This unit is lubricated for life at the factory and periodic relubrication should not be required under normal conditions, regardless of mounting position.
