The listed features are that the unit is waterproof and shockproof, but the problem with most digital thermometers is that the probe itself isn't waterproof. Is this probe waterproof?

Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following: Stainless-steel, 4-3/4-inch long, 0.14-inch diameter probe, 10-foot cable, and digital-display housing are all waterproof.
