Motor is now stuck and I can not remove it from the blower housing. When I attempted to pull the unit out after I found it was blowing the wrong direction, the housing was so old that the shaft got stuck in the fan. So I need to reverse the direction while it is installed, can you tell me how please?

Answer:
There is a small plug on short wires that are colored purple, brown, white and orange coming out of the motor. Unplug it and reverse the plug ends and the motor will reverse direction.
