Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by This fan will fit almost any condenser application, I keep this motor and the 1075 rpm model on my truck at all time. The 825 rpm will work on most Trane units. October 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This is a multi-fit fan...The only change I made was to cut 3" of the shaft length... I capped off the unused leads and hooked up the included capacitor, ran just fine...a great value June 20, 2013

Answer:
Hello. You would not have to be a contractor to buy the motor. The motor is just he motor and leads.

In order to find out if this would work with your unit we would need more information from you about the motor such as shaft diameter and frame size which would be listed on your motor. We are not Trane dealers so we do not have access to the information.

If you could please call 800-472-4643 with the requested information and request to speak with one of our Motors tech reps they will be able to confirm if that motor is a good match.
