how it works

How does the on/off function operate?
Is it on when the button is pushed in and held and then off when released? I need a switch similar to this, but the function would be:
on when pushed and held
off when released.

Answer: 
The 1X692 switch to which you inquire is maintained. Grainger item number 2X894 is normally open (off), when you push the button, the contact closes (on) for as long as you have your finger on the button.
