Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 60reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Changes :( I own three of these jackets and i love them. But it seems the quality in the newet one is not up to par with the older coats. Zipper seems cheaper, pockets are smaller, sherpa lining is different. Needs to be changed back to the original design thanks April 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jacket! Tried on an XL at my local hardware store and it was too short. Got on the website when I got home and ordered and XLT and it fits perfect! (I'm 6'4" and 260lbs.) this coat is the perfect mix of comfortable and tough. I tend to put jackets through the ringer as a commercial fisherman and this thing holds up amazingly. My only complaint is that it is really, really warm and it hasn't been cold enough to wear it more! Thanks Carhartt for making a quality product. March 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great jacket that will last a very long time I just purchased my second sandstone sierra jacket with the sherpa lining, not because the first needed to be replaced but because a Large Tall fits perfect, my first coat was a hand-me-down and is an XL Tall and was big in the body. I am 6'2" and 195 lbs and a Large Tall fits perfect. There is room to layer up underneath and there is plenty of length in the sleeves and body.My only issue with the coat is the zipper seems to be a bit cheaper than older carhartts, not sure if this is because they are being made in Mexico now or what but it is not as smooth as other coats.I have never worn this coat in rain so i'm not sure how well it sheds water but I wear it all winter through snow storms and its nice and warm. I typically layer up under it with a hoodie and down vest on cold days (-20c or colder).Huge fan of the storm cuffs and prefer the non-elastic waist (as seen on the bomber jackets) as it never rides up on the waist. Good storage in the pockets. The only change I would make is to have large, square, deep pockets with flaps and velcro versus the side slit style.Overall, my favorite jacket that I have ever owned. Great product. March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Zipper needs to be better Your zipper has to be a lot better, you have cut back on your zippers,Please Bring BACK THAT Good ONE You ONCE MADE THANKS JIMMY CARP February 2, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not perfect One of the two inner pockets is not as pictured. In the picture it looks to have a zipper closure. On mine it is a velcro closure. The front pockets are not sherpa lined!! This coat has been changed from what is on the website. The body of it runs a bit short and the sleeves are very bulky. This is a very warm coat. Should be plenty for anyone that dosnt have to work outside all winter in below zero temps.Other then the velcro on the inside pocket everything seems up to normal carhartt standards. Just wish the product matched the picture. For those interested the tag says made in mexico. January 31, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylish, yet Rugged!! So stylish my wife picked it out for me!! I noticed as an extra bonus the inside pockett has a slanted zipper for a small concealed carry for a right handed shooter! The wind does not go through this coat and or hood!!! January 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 8 years strong Purchased this jacket right after hurricane IkeI wore all through high school, college and got into the oilfield and have been using it sinceWorks just as good as the day I bought itOnly wear has been in the cuffs but nothing drasticThis jacket has held up great January 1, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Runs small I purchaced this item about a week ago and when it arrived, i was really excited because winter is coming and so is the cold weather. I have had a similar carhartt jacket before and i loved it. Sadly, i was dissapointed becuase i am normally an adult small, but when i tried it on, i couldnt even zipper it. So now i will have to send it back and order a new one before the snow comes. October 24, 2015
