Rated 4 out of 5 by Quality Product Like Most Carharrt coats, this one is of great quality. I had to replace and older carharrt jacket (J002) and the only complaint I have like so many others is, when did Carharrt switch to s, m, l sizing instead of 36, 40, 42. With the new sizing medium fits just a tad to snug and large is a tad to big. I fall in between sizes and wish they had the tailored sizing again. The coat is nice and warm for the early morning winters at work. If it's anything like my old carharrt jacket I'm sure it will last 7+ years. I'm tough on my work clothes. Also the double brass zipper can be a pain in the morning when it's below zero and your fingers are still to cold to be nimble.Overall great tough warm coat. Break in period is far less than I remember with my (J002) as it's prewashed and don't have to worry about shrinking. I would recommend trying this coat on in your local store and not ordering online as the sizes have changed.Carharrt, please bring back the old method of sizing. November 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Coat Don't know when buying a Carhartt I chose this one. I was going to buy the Artic Active Jacket or just a normal Active Jacket but somehow decided on buying this one. Maybe because the hoods on the active jackets are so big and floppy. (Can't Remember).Anyways I like my Coats a little longer so I ordered a Large Tall. After trying on an extra Large in the Carhartt store I realized XL was way too large for me. So I ordered the Large Tall online and when it arrived the length was exactly what I wanted, But the sleeves were huge!!!!!!!!I took it to a seamstress and had her alter the sleeves to make them thinner because they were out of control. Now the Jacket is one of my favorites. I was looking at buying another active jacket but I broke this jacket out of the closet and said wait this one is still good. Glad I bought this jacket and will have it for some time to come. November 4, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing sizing I'm a 6 ft. 5 male, and thought an XL would fit me fine, especially as Carhartt's 'true fit' software told me to get an XL as well. So I'm pretty disappointed with Carhartt because of that. August 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Piece of Gear I was given my coat in 1993--yes, 21 years ago. When I got it, the thing was as stiff as heavy-duty cardboard, but over the years it's become very broken in and soft. I've worn it while working in 20+ below temps, snow/ice storms and rain. It's now faded to the point that you'd never guess it once was brown. In just the last two years it has started to fray at the cuffs and I've had a couple of unfortunate snags on the sleeves. I hate to have to get a new one, but it looks like it might be time to retire the current C26. Definitely worth it, though, as this is one excellent piece of gear! December 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Come to Expect Fits good. My wife likes it. Very warm and stops the 25mph winter wind. Last Carhartt lasted me 10 years. I hope to get that out of this one. One tough jacket. If ordering 2xl and larger I recommend buying 1 size larger for a great fit. March 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat This is the second coat I bought. The first one lasted over 15 years with hard use. I highly recommend this coat. February 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great jacket, but... Same great jacket as I bought 15-20 years ago, but I'm giving it four stars because the quilting(insulation)seems to be thinner than the old one. January 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by warm coat The c26 moss coat I have is about 10 years old. Its showing its age. wear some small tears and holes. I bought a replacement. C03 which is the traditional duck and its stiffer. The c26 is pre worn its softer sandstone gives it a flexible wear doesn't take a lot of time to break in. I will buy another one. January 28, 2014
