Rated 2 out of 5 by 2reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by I bought one of these sets of 6. They are definitely of mediocre quality and 4/6 of them leaked as shipped. After re-greasing with a little vaseline however, I was able to get 5/6 to operate fine. They also need a better stopcock clamp than the one supplied, otherwise the stopcock can slide out unless you keep steady inward pressure when operating it; I added a 10-cent #6 rubber O-ring and got it to hold better. So although the quality is mediocre, it is adequate for the purpose with a little tinkering, and the price is cheap, even if you have to discard 1 out of 6. Rated 1 out of 5 by I bought this thinking wow what a great price. You get what you pay for. 4 out of 6 of these burettes leak at the stopcock. I have regreased these with vaseline and still no dice. The glass welds on the burette look really amateur, hastily done. Stay away! The only thing I can think of is perhaps purchasing the right size replacement stopcock made of PTFE. I know grainger also offers a more expensive version of this set of six also from the same "grainger approved vendor" with a PTFE stop cock. Probably the same crummy glass but they throw in a PTFE stopcock. August 29, 2012
