Details

This smoke alarm responds best to fast-raging fires. The Test/Reset button function tests alarm circuitry, alarm activation, and peak level memory. It features visual indicators for alarm and power-on, and provides alarm function during a power outage. Voice warning announces "Fire," "Carbon Monoxide," or "Low Battery." Adjustable smoke sensitivity helps reduce nuisance alarms. Easy installation.

Answer:
The battery should be tested to see if it is operating properly. Also, this unit will signal that indicates an "End of Life" condition for the unit itself. This signal should be capable of temporarily being silenced for up to 2 days. After about 2 days, the signal will resume. After about 2-3 weeks the signal cannot be silenced.
