Hot water feed

I was wondering if hot water can be fed in to this system with out causeing any damage to the unit. I ask this question because i have a cutomer that complains that it takes to long for the water to reach the point of use, i want to connect the point of use water heater to the hot water line that is there for instant hot water but i am worried that when the hot water dose start to feed the system it may damage the elements. I cant seem to find the answers any where and wanted to know if you had the answers. Thanks.

Answer:
Hello,
Yes this unit will handle that, this is designed as a "point of use" if the water temp rises enough it will just turn off the elements. There is also another way to get hot water quicker, that is by using a circulator pump look at a 10D424.

I hope this answers your question, thanks for using Grainger Ask & Answer!
