Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Saw I've been using this saw a year. I purchased it based on reviews, my need for higher capacity, the smaller footprint as compared to sliders, it's capability of being converted back and forth from chop saw to slider. Right out of the box, this tool impressed. It was heavy, but, once installed in its dedicated locations, it required no adjustments to true the blade etc. A year later it still runs true. Since then I've installed a Freud 12" blade to get even better cross cuts. I've gotten used to the sticky thumb switch. There remain two features that continue to trouble: dust collection and laser. The collection port is quite small and catches only some of the dust produced. The amount of dust collected decreases when using a back board. The laser draws a clearly visible line on workpieces but it seems off from the saw kerf by a 1/32 of an inch to the left. I think Bosch ought to redesign both the port and offer a better laser accessory. Otherwise, I am very happy with the performance this tool continues to put out. November 15, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Miter Saw Made! I bought this miter saw within the past year to be able to cut 2 by 12's and miter 2 by 6's which I couldn't do with a 10 inch miter saw. I wanted this to be the last miter saw that I bought so I chose Bosch.because of its known quality. I also bought a gravity rise portable stand so I could wheel it around. Both the saw and stand are the best that I've owned. October 21, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Potentially great saw, unfortunate experience I love the saw, but to give it a higher rating would be ignoring the troubles I've had so far. It has the potential to be the nicest slide mitre on the market. The general build quality and standard features like the extension wings make this saw stand out. If I could change one thing, it would be to include a soft start.Sadly, my first saw developed a bearing related problem after about four weeks of moderate use. It was returned to the vendor only to wind up with a saw that had uneven table heights....specifically, the centre turntable sat too high. It was taken to an authorized service centre for inspection and determined to be not repairable, so it also went back to the store. The most recent saw arrived with a broken vacuum/dust bag attachment. I actually haven't even tried the latest saw (three weeks old)...I'm afraid something else is going to go wrong. Bosch has been wonderful to deal with and obviously I see the potential of the saw or I would have given up by now, but it's really unfortunate that a brand that I've had such good luck with in the past may be faltering. Even though these products are now made in China, the quality doesn't need to suffer. I'm still going to recommend the saw on the belief I just had a nasty bit of bad luck. My last slide mitre saw lasted over twenty years and this one has the potential to do the same....fingers crossed! October 10, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Glide Mechanism seems to be twisted When I set the blade to 90 degrees using a machinist's combo square, I will get burning on the left side of the cut and friction marks on the blade. The blade is square to the table but it moves from right to left as the cut is made.Next I used a dial indicator mounted to the blade with a square on the table and adjusted the miter setting so the blade would sweep down at 90 degrees. Then I checked the blade and found it to be out of square by about 3 degrees.I haven't found any information on adjusting the throw of the glide mechanism.I believe the problem is with the glide mechanism, though I don't see any stress marks or other damage in the glide linkage.I like the idea of the glide mechanism and that it can be pushed right up against the wall. However, as it stands, this miter saw is not suitable for precision cuts. August 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for small shop I bought this saw a few months back and it is perfect for my small shop. With a few minor adjustments out of the box I was making straight cuts in no time. With my small hobby shop, space is a premium and with the glide design I am able to put this saw right up against the wall. The only thing that I have decided that could make this saw better is if it had a built in light so that you can see the pencil marks better in dim lighted rooms. June 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by NICE! I am glad I waited in purchasing a sliding compound miter saw. The biggest selling point was that it fits on my 24" standard depth workbench without poking into the wall with rail systems of other saws. May 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Saw, needs a dual laser feature I love this saw. The axial glide arm is effortless to use. It was dead on accurate out of the box. My only wish is that it had a dual laser line for making super accurate cuts on crown molding. I would love to see a laser attachment that wasn't a washer. ...oh, and make it one of those really bright green lasers for us "old foggies." May 6, 2015
