Rated 5 out of 5 by the best This thing is great..works like a shamp..recommend this item.. March 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great upgrade Finally upgraded my hammer drill from a B&D Firestorm to the Bulldog. The SDS bits are durable and the drill makes quick work of setting anchors in foundations. February 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Impressive Bought this rotary hammer for a basement finishing job and used it to chip out high spots in the cement around some lolly columns as well as drill about 150 holes for Tapcons. Couldn't believe how fast and smooth it drilled through the concrete floor. Just watch out how hard you push using small-sized SDS-plus bits - broke off the 5/32" bit after about 75 holes. That's when I got a chance to drill a few holes with my old 6 amp regular drill. Drilling holes went from about 5-8 seconds to taking a full minute and with a lot more force on my part. Needless to say, I went out and bought some new SDS-plus bits the next day. This was my first Bosch tool of any kind. A short 3-months later and I now own about 5 other Bosch tools. I'm a believer. Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the job. I am over 70. The ground where I live is hard as a rock. My doctor recommended this device. Seems the people who put in her swimming pool used them to break up dirt. Having worn myself out using a pick and digging bar I decided to try it. Works beautifully breaking up ground for postholes. November 4, 2014

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following: The 2LDB3 rotary hammer is an SDS/SDS+ drive. SDS and SDS+ are the same, and are the smallest drills in the rotary hammers. SDS drive will have 2 slots and 2 half round recesses. SDS-MAX is a larger system and is characterized by a total of 3 slots (2 on one side, and 1 on the opposing side), as well as 2 half round recesses.

Answer:
Grainger has contacted the product supplier and has been advised by them of the following: This rotary hammer is an SDS+ style, which is smaller than the SDS-MAX drive style. This unit can use any SDS or SDS+ bits, but not SDS-MAX.
