Rated 3 out of 5 by Good performance, some design problems When it works, this thing is a workhorse. Straight out of the box, I loved it - only with continued use did it's rough edges begin to show.1) The "Sheet-Loc" system is innovative, but could be better executed. The rubber gripper on the front is prone to coming loose from it's base. This will start within a few hours of use.2) More importantly, the clip that holds the back of the paper in place (the "Shet-loc" system) fails to apply enough pressure. Because of that, the paper vibrates against it, eats through the rubber grip, and renders the BACK of the system useless as well.3) The punch plate is useless. It will poke holes in the sandpaper, but they will be rough tears that quickly rip across the entire sheet, or simply fold back to block the suction.. A legitimate punch design would have been better. December 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 This product holds the sheet with no slippage, is light weight and performs as expected. Very nice sander. The paper locking clamps are easy to use and holds the 1/4 sheets firmly with no paper slippage. The unit removes material fast with minimal vibration and is light weight and easy to use. Looking forward to many years of dependable use and would recommend it to anyone from the weekend worrier to the professional craftsmen. May 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Holds paper & is easy to load I bought this sander on recommendation from my father-in-law because I was tired of the metal clamps on my other sanders - one of which kept bending and not holding the sandpaper. The SheetLoc™ Sandpaper Attachment System & Rubberized paper clamps are great. It holds the paper better and it's easier to load. I've had this sander for several months and have used it many times. I like it! April 3, 2012
