Answer:
Hello. It has magnets to secure it to the grill. The only concern I would have is if when it was extended if those would be strong enough to keep it on the wall. Unfortunately we do not have a wall mounted deflector that is the correct dimensions. You may have to add a magnet to this so it would stay in place.

We have space heaters located under sliding glass doors. As you can imagine, these space heaters are quite long, sometimes as much as 5 feet long. We also have vertical blinds that are made of plastic that we used to cover the sliding glass doors. Whenever we used to turn on the heat, the blinds start to become disfigured due to the heat. Now, we have to open the blinds to use the space heaters. We would love to use the space heaters while the blinds are closed. Do you have any ideas as to how we can do this without disfiguring the verticals?

Thanks,
Kevin

Answer:
The air deflectors you are looking at will not handle the heat from any type of heater. If your heater is a portable type you can move the heater away from the blinds. If it is a fixed heater your options would be to make the blinds shorter keeping them further away from the heat source or you could possibly change your blinds to an aluminum type which will handle more temperature.
